Temporary works collapse during construction of Kuala Lumpur’s light rail project (Malaysia)

A steel-frame gave way yesterday during cross-head concreting works as part of construction for Kuala Lumpur’s latest light rail line; the Klang Valley Light Rail Transit Line 3.

The temporary structure was located opposite the TM Point retail outlet and the Meru wet market. Sections of Jalan Meru are now closed for the next few days.

The work-package contractor, Sunway Construction, contacted the North Klang Valley traffic police when the incident occurred (around 5am in the morning) and no casualties or damage to public property have been reported.
