Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) Airport could be one of the World’s busiest (Poland)

Reports say that the Polish government has plans for the Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) airport (located between Warsaw and Łódź) to initially serve roughly 45 million passengers per year, with the view to eventually serving up to 100 million passengers.

Currently Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is ranked as the biggest airport in the world, serving over 100 million passengers per year.

Six architectural concept ideas for the new airport have so far been submitted, which are to be an inspiration during the preparation of the master plan and further design works. Some of the design concepts are from international architectural firms like Chapman Taylor, Foster+Partners, Grimshaw, Zaha Hadid Architects, and Benoy.
